Woodrow Cook, age 92, of Goodlettsville, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014. He was a veteran of WWII serving in England, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, and Germany with the 44th Engineer Combat Battalion.

Mr. Cook was preceded in death by wife, Ruth Inita (Peggy) Cook; father, Benjamin Embrey Cook; mother, Liza Ann White Cook; sisters, Mable Thompson, Martha Williams; brothers, Embrey and Luther.

He is survived by his son, Benjamin Wayne Cook (Beth); daughter, Becky Cook; grandsons, Andy (Tiffany), Adam and John Cook; great granddaughters, River and Shade; and a brother, Gerald.

The family received friends from 3-8 p.m. Monday at the Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home Chapel with Leslie Chapman officiating. Military graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Nashville National Cemetery.

Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Hartsville Pike Church of Christ.
