Winnie Weir, age 73 of Scottsville Kentucky passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at her residence. She was born on October 6, 1934 in Orange, Vermont to the late Frank and Mildred Newton Spencer. She had a love for painting, horses, fresh vegetables at the Mennonites and eating out with her family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Weir who was waiting to greet her on the other side with open arms, and a brother Theodore Spencer. She is survived by her loving daughters; Patricia Meyette Lou of Gallatin, Kathleen Daye Craig of Gallatin, Sheila Brown Phil of Ridgetop, Sandra Weir of Adolphus, Anna Weir of Adolphus, grandchildren; Nikki Weir of Adolphus, Kristin Brumbaugh Marc of Sparks, NV, T.J. King of Gallatin, great grandchildren; Christopher and Hunter Brumbaugh of Sparks, N.V., sisters; Dorothy Dunn Pete of West Topsham, VT, Nancy Blanchard Kenneth of Croydon, N.H., brothers; Franklin Spencer of Orange, VT, Johnny Spencer of Orange, VT, Raymond Spencer Sue of Washington, VT, and George Spencer of Orange, VT. Memorial service will be conducted on Friday, June 13, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of Gallatin Funeral Home with Bro. Noel Quinn officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Crestview Memorial Park. Visitation will begin on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and will resume on Friday at 10:00 A.M. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. She will be missed by her family and friends, but we know she is in a better place and we will be with her soon.
