MOORE, William Eugene. December 31, 2012, age 90 of Hermitage. Preceded in death by his parents, H.E. and Annie Moore; wife, Luci Inez Moore; sisters, Annie Franklin Keyes, and Margaret Louise Moore; brother, Irvin Douglas Moore. Survived by son Jim (Anita) Moore; brother, Maurice (Nancy) Moore; sister, Mary Lou Moore; grandchildren, Gayla, Greg, Grant, Gabe, Garrett; ten great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren. A graduate of Martin Methodist College, A.A., Scarritt College, B.A. Vanderbilit Divinity School, M.Div. Ordained Deacon in the TN conference, United Methodist Church,1949; Elder 1950. Ministerial appointments: 1942 Lawrenceburg Circuit; 1943 Waynesboro Circuit; 1944 Nunnelly Circuit; 1946 Bellevue Circuit; 1949 Thompson Station; 1950 Petersburg Circuit; 1953 Kern Memorial, Nashville; 1956 Craft Memorial, Columbia; 1958 First UMC, Crossville; 1962 Arlington UMC, Nashville; 1964 Glendale UMC, Nashville; 1968 Elm Street, Nashville; 1971 First UMC, Livingston; 1977 Bordeaux-Jordonia; 1980 Bellshire, Nashville; 1982 Hartsville-Chapel Hill; retired in 1985. He continued his service to the church as a Sunday School teacher, and served on various conference committees until his death. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Funeral service will be Thursday January 3, at 11 am at Connell Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Paul Gardner, Rev. Charles Poole, Rev. Jeff Fryer, and Rev. Rita Hays, officiating. Visitation at the church one hour prior to service. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers: Ministers of the Tennessee Annual Conference, Goodwill Class of Connell Church, "Christian Journey Prayer-Discussion Group" and the Church Council. Active pallbearers: family and friends.
