William Vestal Malugen, Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great great grandfather, passed away on November , 2024 at the age of 78. Born on August 3, 1946, William was known for his funny, jokester demeanor and his happy-go-lucky personality that brought joy to all who knew him.
William's life was filled with love and laughter particularly from his family, who were his proudest accomplishments. He cherished the role of “Pawpaw” to his children and grandchildren, pouring his heart into making them feel special and loved. He is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Mrs. Kathy Malugen; his son, William Malugen, Jr.; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Each moment spent with them was a treasure he held dear. He is also survived by his dear special friend, Bill Deaver.
In addition to his immediate family, William is remembered fondly by his siblings, Ricky Malugen, Wilburn Malugen, and Charles Taylor, who will carry forward his legacy of joy and laughter.
William had a zest for life that was truly admirable. He found immense happiness in the simple pleasures of fishing, spending days at the beach, boating adventures, and camping under the stars. These hobbies filled his life with memorable experiences and provided a backdrop for many cherished family gatherings.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Myrtle Malugen, who instilled in him the values of kindness and humor, and will be met again with love. He also joins in eternal rest his beloved grandson, Christopher Malugen, along with his brother, Horace Taylor, who will be remembered as part of his cherished history.
The spirit of William Vestal Malugen, Sr. will continue to shine through the laughter and love he shared with family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of joy and a reminder to cherish every moment with those we love. He will be greatly missed.
