William Locke

LOCKE, William Ned, 91 passed away on 4-6-2007 after an extended stay in Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C. Mr. Locke was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. He Was on the Battleship U.S.S. Pennsylvania December 7, 1941 when the Japanese sneak attack occurred and was a retired Warrant Officer from the U.S. Navy and original part owner and manager of Radio station WDBL AM and FM in Springfield, TN. He was a long time member of the Forest Hills Baptist Church in Brentwood TN., was a 32nd Degree Mason, a Shriner, a lifetime member of the retired Navy Officers Association. He is survived by 3 brothers, Eugene Locke, Russellville KY., John Locke, Ridgetop TN,. and Jack H. Locke, McMinnville TN., 6 sisters, Floal Delaney, Chattanogga TN., Eula Bryant, Pauline Holmes, Inianapolis IN., Anna Duke, McMinnville TN., Roberta Bell, Springfield TN., Mary Lou McCollum, Nashville TN., and numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be on Tuesday April 10, 2007 at 1 PM at the Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Winfield officiating. Interment will follow in the Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Jimmy McCollum, Jack H. Locke Jr., Ron H. Bell, John Krisle, Johnny Locke, Stephen Holmes, Milton Madewell, Ted Delaney, Michael Duke and William Locke will serve as pallbearers. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity.
