JOYNER, William Robert (Uncle Bill). Born Oct. 18, 1918, passed away May 16, 2012 at age 93. Preceded in death by wife Clara Joyner, parents Logan & Linda Joyner, sisters, Evelyn Cook & Margaret Ann Warren. Survived by nieces, Linda Coombs (John), Faye Clendenin (Farrar) and Judy Pennington (Bruce), great nieces and nephews, Kelly Woodis (Brad), Chris Coombs, Jennifer Williams, Josh Clendenin, Susanna Duncan (Steve), Bethany Troutt (Adam), Bradley Pennington, and several great, great nieces and nephews. Mr. Joyner served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and the Korean Wars. He was retired from E.I. Dupont, a avid sports fan especially UT football. He grew up in Goodlettsville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and after his marriage he became a member of the Episcopal Church in Old Hickory. Visitation will be Friday May 18, 2pm-8pm Cole & Garrett Funeral Home. Funeral service Saturday May 19, 10 am at the funeral home officiated by Chris Coombs and Pastor Tim Stutler. Pallbearers nephews and great nephews, John Coombs, Farrar Clendenin, Bruce Pennington, Chris Coombs, Josh Clendenin and Bradley Pennington. Honorary Pallbearers, great, great nieces and nephews, Meagan, Madie, and Eli Woodis, Logan and Chance Clendenin, DruAnn and Karsyn Williams, and Dasin, and Diesel Duncan. Interment Spring Hill Cemetery. For those desiring, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice
