William Hester

William “Bill” S. Hester, age 88, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022.  Bill was born on February 8, 1934, to Albert Robert Hester and Montie Hester in Kenedy, TX.

Bill was a lifetime Christian and devout follower of Jesus.  Bill was active in his church and always enjoyed spreading the word.  He worked tirelessly for over 30 years for Accelerated Christian Education (A.C.E.).  Bill was married to his high school sweetheart Florence for 63 years.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; his daughters Deena and Rachel; 1 sister; 1 brother; and his brother- in- law George Wheat.  He is survived by his loving wife Florence (Wheat) Hester; son Robert “Rob” Hester; his 6 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Cleo Carroll and Judy Wheat; brother-in-law James (Brenda) Wheat.  In addition, he is survived by his friends and family from Bible Baptist Church and A.C.E.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, from 10am-11am at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville.  A funeral service will begin at 11am.  Burial will be held at a later date in Pilgrim Rest Cemetery #2 in Alba, TX
