Survived by wife of 42 years, Elaine Gilbert; child, Vanessa Austin Mark, grandchildren, Kayla Smith & Austin Cowden; great-grandchild, Brooklyn Ralston; sisters, Maria Medina, Jo Ann Cruz, Margaret Craig, Shirley Burton; brother, Paul Gilbert. A Life Celebration will be held 2pm Tuesday at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
