DERSEWEH, William Franklin, age 90 of Greenbrier, TN, passed away May 30, 2012, at his home on Betts Rd. where he was also born. He attended Ridgetop Elementary School through eighth grade and graduated from Greenbrier High School in 1941. He worked at Vultee Aircraft before joining the Army Air Corps where he served in the China-Burma-India theatre during World War II as a radio operator. When he was discharged he ran the family farm growing tobacco and breeding cattle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred & Bertha Derseweh; brothers, Fred & Paul Derseweh; sister, Rebecca Derseweh. He is survived by his sister, Joyce (Jeff) Keyes; nephews, Michael and Frederic (Tammie) Keyes; nieces, Karen Diner and Anna Phelan; great nephews, Ric Keyes and Jackson Diner; great nieces, Molly & Hannah Mitchell, Emily & Alexis Keyes; numerous good friends. Family will receive friends, Friday June 1, 2012 from 4-8pm at Cole & Garrett Goodlettsville. Service will be Saturday June 2, 10am with Dr. Jeff Keyes officiating. Family & Friends to serve as pallbearers. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Ridgetop Historical Society, PO Box 502 Ridgetop, TN 37152.
