William Herschel Collins, age 81, of Springfield, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at the Skyline Medical Center.

Mr. Collins was a member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan W. Collins; daughter, Diane Roettger (Dave); and granddaughters, Kristi, Britni and Misti Roettger.

The family would like to say a very special Thank You to the doctors and staff of TN Oncology (Dr. Kuzar), Dr. Scarpero, and all the staff at Same Day Services at Skyline Medical Center.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm Sunday and again from 12-2pm Monday at the Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Monday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Marvin Crouch officiating. Entombment will follow in the Robertson County Memory Gardens.
