BRACKMAN, Sr. William Clark age 92 passed away on April 8, 2008. Mr. Brackman was a member of St. Henry and Mary Queen of Angles Parishes, a 58 year member of the Elks, 4th degree Knights of Columbus, a graduate of Father Ryan High School, he was honorably discharged from the Army as a Master Sergeant as a firearms instructor. He has been nominated to the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame for his numerous State and National Skeet and Trap Championships and his contribution to the sport, and could give Fred Astaire a run for his money on the dance floor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ella Clark Brackman and his first wife Dorothy Boykin Brackman; sister, Claire Keane; brother, Henry Brackman. He is survived by his wife, Mary Woodruff Davis Brackman; children, Fran Lou Pollock, of Greensboro, NC, Beckye Dan Sprouse, Dutch Minda Brackman of Kingston Springs, Pam Reggie Bryant of Huntsville AL. Chris Jennifer Brackman of Athens, GA, Thomas Jennifer Brackman of Morning View, KY and Britt Ken Wood; sisters, Marion Curry Barry, Catherine Tribble of Deland, FL. 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Suzanne Graham, Tony Hostettler, Jim McGinley, Jim McMinnis, John G. Burns and Bob Goodrich will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be on Friday, April 11th from 5-8 pm at St. Henry Catholic Church with a vigil service at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be on Saturday April 12th at 9 am at St. Henry Catholic Church. Memorials may be sent to Alive Hospice or Father Ryan High School
