Boozer, William A., 79, Passed away June 22, 2006. Mr. Boozer had a Master's Degree in Journalism from Columbia University in New York. He was Editor of the Faulkner Newsletter for 25 years and a Book Columnist for the Nashville Banner from 1988 -1995. He was also a Reporter for the Memphis Commercial Appeal, General Manager for Program Services of the Memphis Chamber of Commerce until1975 and Owner of Nashville House of Books. He was the Director of Advertising and Communications for the TN Department of Economic and Community Development until his retirement in 1995. Survived by wife of 48 years, Carol Boozer; children, Bart Boozer, Brandon Kathy Boozer, all of Nashville, TN, Charlotte Raimey Ellenburg, of Moulton, Al.; brothers and sister-in-laws, Drs. Robert and Julie Boozer, Scandia, PA., John and Peggy Boozer, Mt. Airy GA.; grandchildren, Katie Lewis , Alex Boozer, of Nashville, TN, Owen Ellenburg, of Moulton, Al. The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. July 1, 2006 at Immanuel Baptist Church, 222 Belle Meade Blvd. , with Dr. David C. George officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Alan Cohen at TN Oncology and Alive Hospice. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, or Immanuel Baptist Church, 222 Belle Meade Blvd., Nashville, TN 37205.
