Wayne Ray Wilson

Wayne R. Wilson passed away on July 27, 2023. He was born on August 10, 1934  in Jackson County, TN to his late parents John Bruce Wilson and Mazelle (Sloan) Wilson. Also preceding Wayne, in death is his sister and brother-in-law Bobbie Joy and Berchman Trichel, Jr. of Harrisonburg, LA and his brother J. David Wilson of Goodlettsville, TN. Also preceding Wayne was his brother in-in-law Donald (Duck) Lanius.

He is survived by his faithful and loving wife Bobbie Ann (Vickery) Wilson. They married in 1953 and have been members of Goodlettsville Church of Christ of 70 plus years, with Wayne serving as Deacon for many years. He is also survived by 3 wonderful children, Jocelyn Jordan of White House, Holly (Tommy) Moncrief, Goodlettsville, and John Vickery (Kim) Wilson, White House. Surviving also are 6 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousin. Wayne is also survived by his loving sister, Janet Rebecca Lanius, White House and sister-in-law Vicki (David) Wilson, Goodlettsville.

Wayne graduated Goodlettsville High School in 1952, he later attended Vol State College and UT Nashville in night classes, studying Industrial Management.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, August 2^nd in the chapel of Cole and Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville with burial at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends from 4-8pm on Tuesday and again from 10-12pm prior to the service on Wednesday.

Serving as pallbearers will be Thomas Moncrief, Neal Wilson, Clay Wilson, Tristan Presley, Daniel Robinson, Brent Lanius, Brian Lanius, and Daniel Tinnon. Honorary pallbearers will be David Brooks, Glen Garrett, Dave Allen Hudspeth, Mike Tubre, Ben West, J. David Wilson, Berchman Trichel, and Donald Lanius.
