Wallace Danley Ralph, Sr. passed away Tuesday February 22, 2022 at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville, TN. Born the youngest of nine on the family farm “Vertical Plains” in Goodlettsville, July 13, 1935, Wallace was the son of the late Luther D. Ralph and Hester Martin Ralph. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Carleen Ralph, Juanita Hawkins, Mary Bradley, Evelyn Harmon, and James T. Ralph. Wallace was a graduate of the University of Kentucky’s School of Pharmacy class of 1962. He was a retail pharmacist having owned and operated the former Ralph’s Pharmacy in Goodlettsville and also having worked for Nashville Memorial Hospital and Skyline Medical Center. He was a lifelong member of the Beech Cumberland Presbyterian church, attended First Baptist Church in Goodlettsville and was active in mission work, particularly with Freedom Center Ministries in Lynch, KY. He was veteran of the TN National Guard, enjoyed hiking in the Smokey Mountains and was a self-professed “Shun-piker” who loved to travel backroads instead of the interstates he disliked He is survived by his wife of 66 ½ years, Jacqueline Givan Ralph; his son, Wallace Danley Ralph, Jr. (Donna) and their children, Matthew Danley Ralph (Annie), Andrew Tyler Ralph, and Alissa Ralph Mansfield (Brett), great-grandchildren, Emmeline, Virginia and Tucker Wallace; his daughter, Susan Ralph Smith (Thomas) and their children, Carly Smith and Lexi Smith (Chance Oliver); his daughter, Amy Ralph Danehy(Richard) and their children, Kelli Danehy and Erin Danehy; a brother, L.D. Ralph (Betty Ruth) his two sisters, Mina Ralph Smith and Deba Gammons (Tom). Visitation will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, TN on Monday February 28th from 4 until 7 PM and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 AM. A Life Celebration Service will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday, March 1st. at 11 AM followed by interment at Beech Cemetery, Long Hollow Pike, Hendersonville.
