Nance, Thomas Charles- Thomas C. Nance was born on January 10th, 1956 in Carbondale, IL to Charles Thomas Nance and Sue Ewing Nance of York, SC. He is survived by his parents; his 3 children, Jared Thomas Nance of Knoxville, TN, Hilary Grace Nance and Lucas Nance of Nashville, TN; his finance', Cay Collins of Hermitage, TN; his brother, Richard Nance of Cresco, IA; his sister, Beth Smith of Rock Hill, SC; nieces Sarah and Abby Nance of Cresco, IA and nephew Matt Cherry of LaVergne, TN.
Tom graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in Illinois, Rend Lake Junior College in 1976, Illinois State University-Normal in 1978, and Southern Illinois University Law School in 1981. He has been an attorney in Nashville since 1981. Tom loved music and wrote and recorded several albums of Christian Songs. He also performed his music in various churches in the area. One of his favorite pastimes was getting together with his musical friends and jamming. Friends are invited to share his love of the outdoors with memorial contributions to the Friends of Radnor Lake.
Tom was much loved by his family and warmed by the embrace of his friends. He will be very much missed. Visitation will be held from 12-2:30 on Friday, September 22 at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home, with a memorial service to follow.
