Thomas "Tom" E. Ervin, age 88 of White House, TN passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014 at the Clairebridge Assisted Living in Goodlettsville, TN.

Tom was born March 11, 1926 in Hermitage, TN to parents, Charles E. and Anna Ervin. Tom married Ellen D. Cunningham on December 30, 1950 in Cornith, Mississippi. He served in the U.S. Army, was of the Baptist faith and was a retiree of Western Electric where he served as a supervisor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. and Anna Ervin.

Tom is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ellen Ervin of White House; his daughter, Beverlee Ervin of Greenbrier; his grandson, Kevin Thomas Short of Winchester, TN and one sister, Maxine Poe of Clarksville, TN.

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from the Cole & Garrett Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Larry Marlar officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Anthony Cunningham, Rex McMurtry, Jim George and Kevin Thomas Short serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 14th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
