Thomas Batey

Thomas Walter Batey, age 88, passed away October 18, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Walter Batey, and Sarah Christine Traylor Batey; brothers Edwin Batey and Benjamin Batey. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Nan Batey; children, Walter Traylor (Darlene) Batey, James Thomas (Tracey) Batey, Martha Christine (Vince) Batey-Hicks; grandchildren, Gray Batey, Amy Batey, Brooke Batey; brother Charles Batey. Mr. Batey owned and operated Batey Construction in Hendersonville for more than 50 years. He also loved travelling, photography, and was particularly proud of his black angus cows. A visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Tuesday October 22 from 1-6 pm. A private family graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Highpoint Hospice or Whispering Pines Christian Camp.
