Terry Russell

Terry DeWayne Russell, 68, of Portland, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, April 11, 2022. Born October 13, 1953, in Nashville, TN, Terry was the son of the late Jake Russell and Joyce Marie Jones Russell. He was also preceded in death by a son, Buddy DeWayne Russell; a sister, Brenda Lamanac; and his father-in-law, James Leonard Bloodworth. Terry grew up in Woodstock, GA and later moved to middle TN. He and his brother Robert owned and operated the Jake Russell Construction Company which had been started by their father. Terry loved construction work and especially enjoyed backhoe work. Family was the most important thing for Terry. He loved his wife, kids, and grandkids, also all the special occasions that he and his wife, Linda would get them all together. In his spare-time he loved fishing, all kinds of hunting and old movies. He also enjoyed video games on his Xbox while tapping his feet playing his games with his headset on. Terry was a man of faith and belonged to New Hope Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda Ann Bloodworth-Russell; his daughter, Mary Ann Wiseman (Joel); son David (April) Russell; daughter Stacey (Brad) Butler. His brothers, Jerry Russell, Robert (Vicki) Russell, sister, Ruby Russell. His 6 grandchildren, Cody Russell, Dalston Wiseman, Justin Russell, Deanna Wiseman, Elizabeth Butler, and Samantha Butler; his mother-in-law, Mary Maxine Bloodworth; and Linda’s best friend, Brenda Boner. A service in celebration of Terry’s life will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, White House, TN, Friday, April 15th at 1:00 PM. Visitation at the funeral home will be from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
