Terry Laney

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing Terry Laney, who left this world on August 7, 2024, at the age of 76. Born on September 13, 1947, Terry was a kind and easy-going soul whose presence lit up the lives of all who knew him.

Terry leaves behind his adoring wife, Jannette Laney, who will continue to carry his legacy of love and warmth. He is also survived by his brother, Randell Laney, and sister-in-law, Carolyn, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom will forever cherish the memories created with Terry.

Terry served in the United States Airforce where he was a flight line mechanic. He later then retired from Roadway Express.

Terry Laney, a man who cherished the simple joys of life, will always be remembered for quick wit, his love for fun, and his ability to get along with anyone. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife of 56 years, Jannette Laney, a partnership that stood as a beacon of love and commitment to all who knew them.

In his free time, Terry indulged in hobbies that brought him immense joy. A passionate supporter of the Atlanta Braves, he found solace and excitement in the game of baseball. His musical talents were apparent to all who heard him play the guitar and with his collection of Bill Gaither music. Terry's love for music extended to his cherished moments of singing with his siblings, creating memories that will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

A lover of the great outdoors, Terry Laney found solace in road trips, travel, camping, and fishing. These adventures filled his spirit with a sense of freedom and wonder, reflecting his adventurous and vibrant personality.

Terry Laney was the son of Clyde and Sally Laney, who greeted him with open arms upon his entry into the eternal realm. He now joins his brothers, Wayne Casey and Donnie Laney, in a reunion that transcends earthly boundaries.
