MCMURTRY, Ted �- Age 71 of Gallatin on Sunday, June 21, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Melba McMurtry; Sons, Mike McMurtry (Terri), Greg McMurtry (Lisa); Daughters, Cheryll Coleman, Kelly Slaney (Will); Grandchildren, Greg W., M. Ted and Allison McMurtry, Nate and Sydney Slaney, Jordan and Morgan Dykes, Christy Simmons, Abbie Mallory, Amy Ervin; Great-grandchildren, Patrick, Andrew, Tyler and Savannah; Brothers, Ronnie and Bobby McMurtry; Sisters, Harriett Coleman, Lucy Collins and Patricia Hill; Good Friends, Arnett Greer, Rawleigh Smith, Bill Cashion, Harold Rice, Richard McMurtry, Mac Pewitt and Charles Fisher. The family will receive friends at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home in Goodlettsville from 4 �- 8 p.m. Tuesday (today) and from 10 a.m. �- 1 p.m. on Wednesday. Funeral services will be graveside, 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Beech Historic Cemetery at Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Brother David Gregory will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, St. Jude Childrens Hospital and Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital.
