Sue Williams

Sue Ann Garrett Williams, 82, of Hendersonville, TN passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022. Born April 9, 1940, in Hendersonville she was the daughter of the late Robert Elmer Garrett and Claudia Almedee “Allie” Hardaway Garrett. Sue was also preceded in death by her husband, Glen Williams; and her siblings, James “J.D.”, Porter, Homer, Floyd, Clyde, Roger, Paul, Ray and Ruth Garrett Bolton. Sue graduated from Hendersonville High School. She worked in banking for many years starting with the First American Bank and then transitioning through various positions with the Bank of Goodlettsville, Union Planters Bank, and Regions Bank. She lived in Goodlettsville from 1962 until 2005 when she moved back to Hendersonville after her husband’s passing. She enjoyed quilting, doll collecting, and loved Mickey Mouse and all things Disney among her interests outside of work. Sue was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, “Nana”, and sister. Sue derived her greatest joy from her grandchildren. She is survived by her son, Douglas (Amy) Williams; her granddaughter, Kayla Williams; her grandson, Cody Williams; her brothers, Clifton Garrett and Willard Garrett; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Visitation will be held At Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, TN, Monday, July 18th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 19th from 9:00 -m 11:00 AM. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday at 11:00 AM followed by interment at Beech Historic Cemetery, Hendersonville, TN.
