Johnson, Stanley Ainsworth, age 84, passed away October 20, 2011 at Westmoreland Care and Rehab in Westmoreland, TN. Stanley was born October, 18, 1927 in Bladen County North Carolina. He was the son of the late Samuel and Rosa Mae Johnson. He attended the East Nashville Diesel College and served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. After his service in the military he worked for the U.S. Postal Service retiring after 37 years. He had a passion for music and enjoyed singing as well as playing various instruments. Stanley was a member of Dale's Chapel Nazarene church in Madison, TN where he was the song leader for many years. He is preceded in death by wife, Ruth Alberta Johnson; siblings, Leroy Johnson, Elsie Johnson, Lela Belle Johnson, and Glenn Johnson; grandson, Matt Withers. He is survived by daughters, Paula Allen Withers and Joan Anderson; step-children, Bob Welch and Glenda Phil Day; siblings, Dennis Johnson, Walter Johnson, E.C. Johnson, and Rosa Marlene Brisson and 10 great-grandchildren. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Hendersonville Funeral Home with Rev. Phillip Day and Rev. Allen Withers officiating. Interment will follow in Hendersonville Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. and on Saturday, October 22, 2011 prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. at HENDERSONVILLE FUNERAL HOME 353 Johnny Cash Pkwy Hendersonville, TN 37075 615 824-3855 hendersonvillefh.com
