Shirley Gaskell

Shirley Ann Hall Gaskell of Goodlettsville passed away September 16, 2016 at her residence. Shirley was born in Nashville, TN July 2, 1938 to Hobson Hall, Sr. and Louise Theresa Riat Hall.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Baxter Gaskell; brother, Hobson "Hobby" Hall, Jr., Charles "Bubba" Hall, sister, Henrietta "Sissy" Frensley. Survived by her children Bobby Gaskell and Jill Draughon; grandchildren, Justin Draughon and Nicole Gaskell (Stephen) Shannon; great granddaughter, Adeline Shannon; brother, Randall Hall; sister, Reba Hicks and many nieces and nephews that brought her joy. Family was the most important thing in her life.

Shirley taught school over 30 years and was loved by all her students and colleagues. She retired to watch her grandchildren and cared for them more than anything.

Visitation will be Monday, September 19th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday with Bro. Kenneth Speakman officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Draughon, Mike Hall, Brett Phelps, Chuck Hall, Mark Daugherty and Harold Cheatham.
