POWELL, Shelby Jean Ferrell- Age 70, March 23, 2010. Mrs. Powell is best remembered for her work at St. Thomas Hospital where she was the receptionist for Dr. Laurence Grossman for 38 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Morgan Ferrell Jennie Mae; brother, Ralph Donald Ferrell. She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Powell; sister, Dot Bert Watkins, sister-in-law, Evelyn Ann Ferrell; nephews, Bobby Jenny and Ronnie Andrea Ferrell; niece, Sandra Jeremy Turner; 2 great-nieces and 4 great nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home with burial to follow at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Harpeth Hills Funeral Home.
