Sarah Goode Neely, age 93 of Goodlettsville, TN passed away December 4, 2020 at a local health care facility. She was born in Davidson County, TN on November 2, 1927. She was the youngest child of Henry A. and Pallie Hyde Goode who preceded her along with her great-grandson Benjamin Perry. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Neely Mullins (Phil), and son Felix Jackson Neely Jr. (Nancy) both of Goodlettsville; five grandchildren, Nicole Woodall (James) Mt. Juliet, TN, Amanda Troyani (Mike), Slidell, LA, Adam Smith, Franklin, KY, Zachery Neely, Goodlettsville, TN Erin Eckhard (Chris), Portland, TN; three step-grandchildren, Phillip Jr., and Matt Mullins, and Heidi Bravo; eleven great-grandchildren, Neely, Alex, and Andrew Perry, Juliana Perry Saidor, Michaela, Megan and Mike Jr., Troyani, Allie, Jack and Briana Smith, Jay Woodall; three great-great-grandchildren, Benny, Coraline and Corbyn. Sarah graduated from Dupont High School in 1945. She played basketball and was captian her senior year. Later she went on to play with the traveling team the Red Heads. She was in FBLA for four years along with other clubs. Before retiring from Dupont with 40 years of service, she began working with Advanced Tax and volunteered at Nashville Memorial/Skyline Medical Center for over 20 years. She loved her family, bowling, tennis, basketball, gardening, and helping others. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Tuesday December 8 from 11am until 1:30 pm. Graveside service will be at 2pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Goodlettsville with Adoration Hospice Chaplain Jeff Wagner officiating. Adam Smith, James Woodall, Mike Troyani, Zachery Neely, Phillip Mullins, Matt Mullins, Alex Perry, and Mikey Troyani serving as pallbearers. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
