Samuel Wilson

WILSON, Samuel Nashville, 88, October 17, 2007. Born February 14, 1919 in Dickson County. Served as a Deacon and Elder at West Nashville Heights Church of Christ since 1960. Served in Marine Corp in WWII and received a Purple Heart. Helped start Nashville Christian School serving as a board member for many years. Long time member of West Nashville Civitan. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Helen Wilson; son, Mickey Wilson. Survived by daughter, Peggy Bill Hopkins; son, Dennis Tami Wilson; grandchildren, Michael Angela Hopkins, Jeff Brandy Hopkins, and Kevin Lynn Hopkins, Brent Wilson and Paige Wilson; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Elizabeth Sylvester. The funeral service will be 2 pm Friday, October 19, 2007 at West Nashville Heights Church of Christ, 5807 Charlotte Pk. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nashville Christian School, 7555 Sawyer Brown Rd, Nasvhille, TN 37221.
