NOVAK, Sally Ammerman-August 14, 2011. Born September 17, 1922 in Franklin, TN. Preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. Novak, and her son, Hue W. Novak. Survived by her daughter, Katrin Novak Miller Ron, and her son, Frank G. Novak, Jr. Lora; her brother, Hugh T. Ammerman, Jr. Aurie; her granddaughters, Laura Anne Novak Mario Flores and Alison Leigh Novak Travis Lynn; her great-granddaughters, Adele Katrin Novak Lynn, Morgan Amelia Novak-Flores, and Ava Fielder "Dagney" Novak Lynn; her nieces, Janie Jarrett, Karen Carter, Mary Ammerman, and her nephew, Hugh T. Ammerman, III; and her cousin and best friend, Luanna Hunt. A graduate of Peabody College, Sally worked for many years as a commercial artist for Harvey's department store and exhibited her paintings in local art shows. She worked in a variety of mediums, including ceramics, oils, watercolors, acrylics, pastels, and etchings. She was also an accomplished violinist and an avid gardener. Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 17, at the Hillsboro Church of Christ, 5800 Hillsboro Pike, Nashville 37215, where she was a long-time member. Visitation will begin at 12:00 prior to the service. Following the service, burial will take place at Harpeth Hills Memory Gardens.
