Ruth Story Mullins

Ruth Joyce (Hall) Story Mullins, 82, of Cottontown TN passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022. Born May 26, 1939, in Goodlettsville, TN, Joyce was the daughter of the late Douglas Hall and Mary Templeton Hall. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, James Franklin Story as well as her second husband, Glair C. Mullins. Joyce was raised in Ridgetop, TN and graduated from Greenbrier High School. She had a beautiful voice and had sung in a country and western band as well as at her church where she became a song leader for Sabbath school. She had a great sense of humor, an infectious laugh, was a great conversationalist and truly loved people. She enjoyed yard sales and antiques. Her knowledge and interests ran from, music, to antiques, to plants, to vitamins and supplements for health. She will be fondly remembered as a kind, gentle and loving individual. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Pixie Story, Robyn Bain (Terry) and Ree Moses; their children (her grandchildren) Matt Bain and Megan Daniel; great- grandchildren, Benjamin Lewis, Gabrial Lewis, James Ray Daniel, Ethan Fuller and Ellie Bain; her brothers, Doug (Donna) Hall and Earl Hall; extended family and friends. Services will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, 127 N Main St, Goodlettsville, TN, Sunday, May 15th with visitation from 2 until 4 PM and funeral at 4:00 PM. The burial service will be held Monday, May 16th at the Nashville National Cemetery, 1420 Gallatin Pike S South Madison, Nashville, TN 37115-4619.
