Ruth Moore

Ruth Arnelle Moore, 92, of Goodlettsville passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at NHC Dickson. Daughter of the late James William Boyles and Zula Brinkley Boyles, she was born in Nashville on January 16,1930. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray D. Moore; her son Charles Anthony “Chuck” Tatum, and her brother James William Boyles, Jr. Ruth was educated in Greenbrier, TN where she graduated from Greenbrier High School. She had worked for the former Scovill-Schraeder Automotive Division in Dickson, TN and had also lived and worked in Greenwood, SC. Ruth had lived in Goodlettsville, TN for more than 50 years. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, she is survived by her children, Marla Waychoff (Ted), Robert Christopher Tatum (Heather), Terry Lynn Tatum (Jaydie), Timothy Dale Moore (Stephanie), and Robin Allen Tatum (Karyn Horner); Grandchildren, Cherie Wilson (Clay), Michael Shane Waychoff (Erin), Jenna Michelle Tatum, Jessica Leigh Black, Serena Woods, Hamilton Brock Tatum, Alexandria Monet Hardaway (Brett), Micayla Jade Farmer, Jonathan Robert Tatum, Victoria Ruth Tatum, Tyler Nicholas Tatum, Lindsey Thompson, Lauren Dobbs, Trey Allen Tatum, Jake Lee Slack; great-grandchildren, Paisley Thompson, Cooper Dorris, Bennett Dobbs, Tucker Dobbs, Beau, Chase, Clint (Laura), Carlee (Steele), Jackson, Abby, Ellis, and great-great-grandchildren Braille Waychoff, Hattie Wilson, Greta Wilson, Audrey. Visitation will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville, TN, Thursday from 4 – 7 PM. A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 29th at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Goodlettsville. A procession to the cemetery will leave Cole & Garrett, Sunday at 12:30 for anyone wishing to follow.
