Ruby Stone

STONE, Ruby Pollard, May 17, 2012, age 92 of Hendersonville. Preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Ray Pollard Fisher; father, George W. Pollard; sister, Katherine Pollard McMurtry; half brother, George Earl Pollard; and husband, Forrest McMurtry Stone. Survived by sister, Portia Pollard Eidson; half sisters, J. Susan Brown, Ruskin, FL and Linda Hankins, Hereford, AZ; children, Jerry F. (Nancy) Stone; Cathy A. Stone, and Steve P. Stone; nephew, Donald B. (Betty) Landers; grandchildren, Nathan (Nickie) Stone; Anita (John) Barnard, Elizabeth (Mike) Vaughn, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Mrs. Stone retired from the State of TN Dept. of Children's Services in 1981 and was a member of Beech Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved to read and cook, but mostly she loved her family. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Friday from 4-8 pm, and Saturday May 19 from 12 noon until service time at 2pm., with Rev. Malcolm Patton, officiating. Interment Cole Cemetery White House.
