Ruby Donnell "Donnie" Callis

Ruby Donnell “Donnie” Callis, 83, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024. Born February 6, 1940, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Fred Donald Anderson and Ruby Adell Brown Anderson.

Donnie enjoyed Friday afternoons with her husband, Clarence. She loved motorcycle rides and frequent trips to Florida. Donnie was a woman of Christian faith and attended Ivy Memorial Baptist Church. Her family will remember her as a patriotic woman who loved her country, a lady who enjoyed a good game of pool, casinos, and relaxing in her swing admiring her colorful back yard with Sweetie Pie. She retired from Smith Turf and Irrigation.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years Clarence Callis; son Mitchell Callis.

She is survived by her children Dennis Oeser, Derek (Patty) Oeser, Joe (Marsha) Callis, Jon Callis, DeeAnn (Brad) Logan; brother David “Bub” (Pam) Anderson; grandchildren Douglas Oeser, Anderson Wells, Cody Wells, Gage Oeser, Ruby Oeser, Matthew Callis, and Colleen Miller; great grandchildren David, Hadley, Hayden, and Duke; and her beloved pup Sweetie Pie.

A graveside service will take place at Hillcrest Municipal Cemetery in White House on Monday, January 8, 2024, at 3 pm.
