Roy John Ericksen, age 94 of Madison, passed away on October 30, 2015.
He was born on March15, 1921 to the late August Henry and Minnie Shulc Erickson in Trout Lake, Minnesota.
Mr. Ericksen was a proud Army Veteran serving in WWII. After the war he worked as a small engine repair man, a logger in Oregon and a Landscaper there was hardly anything that he couldn't do.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ericksen is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years Helga Ericksen, brother, Henry Erickseon, and sister, Dorothy Ostberg.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years Annie Ericksen, children, Bernice (Larry) Kindall and Vernon (Zeyla) Ericksen; grandchildren, LeRoy (Julie) Ericksen, Jimmy (Rhonda) Ericksen, and Gloria (Bob) Farmer; 6 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and nieces, Janice (Larry) Philbreck and Jo Anne (Dean) Schneider.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10am in the Chapel of Cole & Garrett Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Snow officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9am until the hour of service. Burial will follow at 1pm in the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery.
