Robert Jay English

Robert "Jay" English, 66, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023.  Born June 27, 1957, in Nashville, he was the son of the late James English and Sarah Arnold English.

Jay was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, but his sports allegiance went to Vanderbilt University athletics and his beloved Atlanta Braves.  On October 19, 1990, he married the love of his life, Brandy Anderson.  Jay was a member of Connell United Methodist Church in Goodlettsville.  His family will remember him as a good hearted man who would help anyone.  He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Brandy English; daughter Sarah Quinn & her fiance Kevin Bandoske; son Jacob English, sisters Julie (David) Haygood and Jenny (Rhodes) Platt; grandchildren Micheal, Katie, Kayleigh and Keagan; and his cat Anastasia.

A Celebration of Jay's Life will take place at Connell United Methodist Church in Goodlettsville on Friday, January 5, 2023, at 2:00 PM.
