Richard Hall

Richard Huston Hall, 73, of Cottontown passed away Tuesday July 27, 2021 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Celina, TN June 4, 1948, he was the son of the late Jesse McCoy Hall and Zora Lee Rich Hall. He was also preceded in death by his son, Rick Hall. Richard retired from Cone Oil Company after 32 years of employment. He also owned and worked his farm. He loved farming. The livestock, puppies and working the land were what he enjoyed doing. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Avo Cox Hall; two daughters, Julie Berlin (Carl) and Jennie Wortham (Troy); six grandchildren, Chelsea Alexander, Kali Alexander, Richard Tyler Alexander, Samantha Dyer, Brooke Ashley Anderson (Colin), and Kayla Christine Wortham; twelve great-grandchildren, Aryan, Addie, Noah, Micah, Colin, Cuyler, Rylan, McKinley, Piper, Lynnox, Caspian and Nevaeh; and three sisters, Jessie Lee Shambaugh, Ruby Pennington and Sue Adams. Richard’s family wishes to thank the caregivers and staff of Hendersonville Medical Center and Alive Hospice for the care and comfort given him. Cole and Garrett Funeral Home of White House has been entrusted with the arrangements.
