Reba Bean

Reba M. Bean, age 99 of Goodlettsville passed away March 18, 2016. Mrs. Bean was born on October 16, 1916 in Black Oak, Arkansas to the late William Arthur Simmons and Alice Virginia Grey Simmons. Reba was a tenacious woman who remained independent until the end of her life; she loved to travel, loved to crochet, loved her dogs and most of all she loved her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Bean and her daughter, Linda Owens. She is survived by her children, Jerry Bean, Steve Bean, Joe Bean and Lisa Williams; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends and celebrate her life on Monday, March 21st from 3-8 PM at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home. The family would like to thank Rachael Sherman from Alive Hospice for her care of Mrs. Bean through her final days.
