Raymond Lucas, Jr.

LUCAS, RayAge 51 of Hendersonville, TN, passed away January 2, 2008. Ray was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Austin Peay State University where he played football. He was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and Tennessee Titans, as well as the Beech Buccaneers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond P., Sr. and Juanita W. Lucas. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Janet Jones Lucas; his son, Matthew Lucas; his daughter, Kristi Lucas; his sisters, Mildred Jane Al Lucas and Cheryl Lynn Doug Coy; his brothers, Steve David Lucas and Randall Scott Lucas. A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2008 at the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home, with Dr. Steven Nelson officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 and on Friday, from 12 until the time of service at Hendersonville Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Beech Buccaneer High School Football Program or to the Trinity Baptist Youth Ministry.
