Quinton Merritt White, Jr. known by many as Jr. or Scruffy of Hendersonville, TN passed away Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, TN. He was 57 years of age.

Quinton was born November 6, 1957 in Wyandotte, MI to parents, Quinton Merritt White, Sr. and Beverly Jean Uhl White, who preceded him in death. Quinton was the baby of six brothers and sisters.

After graduation from high school, Quinton served four years in the U.S. Navy. For many years he worked at both Beech High School and Hendersonville High School, presently working for the Sumner County Board of Education. He loved playing his guitar, music and telling jokes. He loved to make people laugh; never meeting a stranger and always had a kind word for everyone. He had many friends and will be sadly missed by all.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters, Linda Dodson, Larry Thomas and wife Betty, Patricia Johnson, Joseph White and wife Suzanne, Eunice Cooper; numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great nephews; his cherished pets, Momma Cat and Smokey and by his many, many friends.

Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate his life on Thursday, March 12th from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Pastor William Rogan will officiate his service at 7:00 p.m. at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, 212 Hwy 76, White House, TN.
