Peggy Joyce Goguen (née McMurtry) , 90, of Oldsmar Florida, passed away peacefully in her home on December 5, 2021.
Peggy was born on September 13, 1931 in White House Tennessee and attended White House High School.
As an adult, Peggy was a very successful business woman. Her first real estate venture in the 70’s was establishing Country Livin’ Estates which is a mobile home park in Goodlettsville Tennessee that still remains open to this day. In 1975, Peggy expanded her real estate ventures to Florida and traveled between Tennessee and Florida before making the move permanent in 1990. She continued to own many properties in Fort Myers, St. Petersburg, and in her home state of Tennessee.
Peggy was a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She adored her grandkids and great grandkids as well as the family dog, Tator.
Peggy was predeceased by her mother (Mary Thomas McMurtry ), father (James Joyner McMurtry), beloved son Ricky Goguen and her son in law, Ray Quintal. She is survived by her loving daughter, Pamela Goguen, 5 grandchildren - Matthew Mayberry (wife Kimberly), Lacey Quintal, Shelly Crook (husband Steven), Travis Goguen (wife Celina), and Roy Swafford (wife Kim), and 6 great grandchildren - Steven Crook, Raymond Jordan, Emma Mayberry, Nicolas Swafford, Aleeah Goguen, and Addison Goguen.
A celebration of life service will be held at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, White House Saturday, January 8, 2021 at 1:00 pm followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery, White House.
