Paul F. (Sam) Ignatz Sr., November 11, 2013, age 92. Preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Murray Ignatz; son, Paul Ignatz, Jr.; granddaughter, Debbie Parchment. Survived by daughters, Sandra Parchment, Kathy (Mike) Edge; son, Mike (Vicky) Ignatz; grandchildren, Todd (Caralyn) Ignatz, Brian (Beth) Ignatz, Kim Parchment Baker, Kate Edge, Rachael Edge, Michael (Erin) Edge; great-grandchildren, Anna, Logan, Charlee, Campbell, Mary Austin, Anderson, Delaney, Brennan, and Amiyah. At age 66, Sam became father to oldest great-grandson Michael (Kayla). Sam was a life time member of First Lutheran Church, Nashville. He was retired from Vaughn MFG Company Tool & Die after 44 years. He was a charter member of the Goodlettsville Lions Club, a member of the Goodlettsville Planning Commission, and Volunteer for the Goodlettsville Fire Department. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Thursday from 3-8 pm. Funeral service will be Friday November 15 at 1pm at First Lutheran Church, 113 8th Ave. South, Nashville, with Pastor Brian Hooper, officiating. Visitation at the church from 11:30am until service time. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be grandchildren and family friend, Sam Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be Martin Luther Bible Class, Dr. Steven Mann and staff, and Nell Perrigo. The family wishes to thank the Vanco Manor rehab staff, and Alive Hospice Skyline. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church. GO VANDY!
