Oliver Holland

HOLLAND, Oliver W. May 17, 2013, age 90 of Madison. Preceded in death by his parents, Oliver and Lillian Holland; sister, Mary Meadows. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Loretta Holland; children, Patricia Moss, Wendell Holland, Rhoda (Tony) Namynanik; grandchildren, Devin and Ashton Namynanik, Kim Patterson, Ken Brooks, Kris Brooks; twelve great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Holland played baseball for the Nashville Vols, until he signed to play professionally for the NY Giants at age 16. After serving in the Army Air Corps during WWII, he was injured in his right eye, and was no longer able to play. Visitation will be at Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville Sunday from 4-8pm. Graveside service will be Monday May 20 at 3pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
