Oakley Denton

Oakley Delton Denton, age 86 of Hendersonville passed away February 20, 2016. Mr. Denton was born on January 23, 1930 in Joelton, TN to the late Oakley Melvin Denton and Annie Louise Gill Denton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Christine Denton in 1999; and his sister, Delores Gaddy. He is survived by his wife, Wilma Dean Denton; sons, Ron Denton and Tim (Sherry) Denton; grandchildren, Parrish Denton, Brandon J. Denton, Sara Denton; great-grandchildren, Logan Denton, Candice Rose Denton, Oakley Justus Denton and Aubrey Denton; niece Dianna and Roger Gupton; and step-daughters, Vicki (Carlos) Ochoa and Jacqueline English. A Life Celebration Service will be held on Tuesday, February 23rd at 12:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Cole & Garrett in Goodlettsville with Rev. Duane Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Logan Denton, Dakota Ruck, Chris Ruck, Brandon Denton, Travis Todd and Bob Sanders serving as pallbearers. Visitation with the family will be on Monday from 4-8 P.M. and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hendersonville Church of the Nazarene Youth Group, 159 Luna Lane, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
