Norma "Norma Lynn" McGill, age 77 of Madison passed away July 17, 2015. Norma was born on September 7, 1937 in Dante, VA to the late Rufus and Dema McCoy. Norma spent a good part of her life in the Chicago area before moving with her family to Nashville in 1980 to focus on her music career. She was a longtime musician in Downtown Nashville on Broadway; playing at places like Robert's Western World, 3 Doors Down and Say When to name a few. She loved her music, animals and was very proud to be a musician. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lester McGill and siblings, Louise, Lucille, Bud and Almond. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Pharris (Rick); grandson, Rich Pharris (Jessica); and siblings, Harold McCoy, Kay Garrett and Dwight McCoy (Bonetta). A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 24th at 1:00 P.M. in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with Sam Mallory officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday prior to the graveside from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 P.M. at Cole and Garrett Funeral Home.
