Norma Jean Russell Holt was born on August 31, 1930 to Delmas Russell, Sr. and Portie Russell. She was the third of 13 children. She married George Perry Holt, Jr. on August 23, 1947 and they were married for 73 years. She had four children, ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild. She worked at DuPont, clothing boutiques, and as a fragrance model in her later years for Liz Claiborne Fragrances. Norma enjoyed being with her friends and family, shopping, collecting antiques, writing encouraging cards, and being an active member at Goodlettsville Church of Christ. At church, she was known as the Card Lady and the Hat Lady, the latter because of her love of dressy hats. She was rarely without her pearls and made delicious coconut cakes. She loved everyone she met and everyone that met her loved her, too.
Norma is survived by her children, Belinda (Gary) Reinke, George (Melody) Holt, III, Joseph (Carol) Holt, and Kathy (Gary) Spencer, her grandchildren, Melina Reinke, Kim Spencer, Amy Reinke, Andrew Holt, Julie Spencer, Mark Holt, Jennifer Spencer, Heather Holt, Gregory Holt and Lindsay Holt; and their spouses and their children. She was briefly survived by her beloved husband, George Perry Holt, Jr., who is now with her with Jesus Christ.
