Nina Edmunds

Nina Ruth Edmunds age 87 of Goodlettsville passed away on August 28, 2022, at her home.

She was born on March 14, 1935 in Lincoln County Tennessee, to the late Bobby and Mary Poole. Mrs. Edmunds was co-owner and operator of The Pie Wagon Restaurant that was located at 9th and McGavock and later at 12th and McGavock. After leaving the restaurant industry she continued to serve others as a PBX Operator at Baptist Hospital until her final retirement nine years ago.

Mrs. Edmunds enjoyed spending time with her family and worshiping the Lord through scripture reading and singing hymnals with her son. She found solace at the house her husband and she had built so many years ago. Mrs. Edmunds will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edmunds is preceded in death by her siblings, Nolen (Dorothy) Poole, Helen (Jim) Ventress, Oscar (Christine) Poole and John David (Laura) Poole.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Thomas Edmunds, John Daniel Edmunds, Sr., and Angela Diane (Rick) Warren; grandchildren, Jennifer Marie (Steve) Andrews, John Daniel Edmunds, Jr., and Haven Shane Edmunds; numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Daily) Beaty, Joe Edward (Glenda) Poole, Linda Kay (Chuck) Barnes and Velma Fay (Bill) Pirtle.

A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 2pm in the Chapel of Cole & Garrett Funeral Home with Brother Denman Frazer officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00am until the time of service.
