Nellie Douglas

Ms. Nellie Lee Douglas, age 83, of Goodlettsville, passed away on December 23, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 8, 1939 to the late George and Margaret Lane. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald Ray Douglas, Sr; and brother, George “Kayo” Lane.

Nellie found her greatest joy being with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. One of her greatest blessings later in life was getting the name, “GiGi,” by her great grandchildren. She never met a stranger, and enjoyed meeting new people. She was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, GiGi, sister, and friend who will be truly missed.

Nellie is survived by her 5 children, Donald R. Douglas, Jr., David Michael Douglas, Daniel Lee Douglas (Herme), Melissa Karen Douglas, and Julianne Douglas; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ronald Winfield Lane (Joycann Pinkston); along with nieces, nephews, and cousins.
