Nancy Kay Ferguson Galloway, age 73 of Hendersonville, TN, formerly of Jackson and Holt, Michigan, passed away suddenly on Monday December 21, 2009 at the Hendersonville Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born on September 21, 1936 in Jackson, MI. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1954. She was employed by Clark Equipment Co., Macklin, and the State of Michigan from which she retired in 1992 from the Transportation Dept. after 22 years of service. She is survived by her beloved family; devoted husband of 49 years, Lawrence Larry G. Galloway; son, Gary; daughter, Cheryl Steve Akers; five very special grandchildren, Anthony and Christina Galloway, Jordan and Kailee Jacobs and Cameron Luke Akers; two brothers, Dale Rosie and Carl Shirley Ferguson; and brother-in-law, Gordon Maryann Galloway and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Kevin, in 1963. Nancy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was an avid bowler for many years and treasured her friendships with fellow bowlers on the Monday-Wednesday Senior League in Hendersonville. The family wishes to extend their grateful thanks to Sumner EMS and to the E.R. and I.C.U. staffs at the Hendersonville Medical Center for their prompt response and tender care of Nancy. Her family will receive friends from 6 PM until time of memorial service at 7 P.M., on Wednesday December 23, 2009 at Hendersonville Funeral Home.
