Morgan "Russell" Vaughn, age 70 of Lebanon passed away November 14, 2015 surrounded by his family. Russell was born on October 25, 1945 in Nashville to the late Gilbert and Elizabeth Vaughn. He was a proud veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy from 1962-1967 with two tours in Vietnam. Russell worked in automobile sales for over 30 years and loved what he did. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, June Vaughn; son, Avery Vaughn (Velvet); grandchildren, Greyson Vaughn, Tyler Montgomery and Spencer Montgomery; brother, Larry Vaughn (Icie); and sister, Kay Huggins (Tommy). A Life Celebration service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 18th at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Cole & Garrett Funeral Home, Goodlettsville with Pastor Dan Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Active pallbearers will be: Jonathan Bartenfield, Cade Sharpe, Jesse Dean, Bryan Eady, Junior Davis and James White. Honorary pallbearers will be: Randel Crotts, William Sharpe and Gary Jones. Visitation with the family will be on Tuesday from 4-8 P.M. and Wednesday from 12 P.M. until service time.
