Morgan Smith

SMITH, Morgan Vincent – Age 95. Died: Monday, June 9th at the NHC Hendersonville. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His wife of 67 years, Viona Smith, preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Viona Vee Rice Chuck of Nashville and Carolyn Womack Bill of Ashford, AL; four grand-daughters, Valerie W Morgan Atlanta, Vicki W Kleindiendst Switzerland, Vivian W Galletly Marietta GA and Andrea W Howell Dothan AL; and six great grandchildren. He also is survived by his step-grandchildren: Sara R Priest Brentwood; Carol R Bibb Chicago; Lee Rice Atlanta; and Bill Rice Rocky Mt NC. He was employed for more than 40 years as a baker and worked at Pelican Cracker Company in New Orleans, Malbis Bakery in Mobile and Jack's Cookie Co. in Pulaski TN. He will be remembered for his gentle ways, generous spirit, and loving heart. A special thanks to the loving staff of NHC Hendersonville and Alive Hospice for their tender concern and vigilant care during his illness.
Visitation with be on Thursday, June 12th, 10 AM at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 800 Bellevue Rd 646-3150.
The Funeral service will follow the visitation at Redeemer Lutheran Church at 11 AM, conducted by Pastor Philip Young.
