Mildred Boone

BOONE, Mildred Dean Petty - Age 89 of Hendersonville, TN passed away August 28, 2013. Mrs. Boone is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Ella Petty; brothers, John Mildred Petty, Bob Elizabeth Petty, Luster Dimple Petty, Jim Petty; sisters, Mary Hubert Kemp, and Lula James Owens. She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Boone; daughter Nancy James Carroll & sister-in-law, Dot Petty. In her early years, Mrs. Boone worked as a Lab Technician, First Baptist Church 5 year old class kindergarten teacher, and in her later years, worked with her dear friend, Vivian Bush at Bush Jewelers. Mr. and Mrs. Boone were part of the founding members of Hendersonville First Baptist Church. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at NHC for their kindness, compassion and care of Mrs. Boone. A Life Celebration for Mrs. Boone will be held in the Chapel of Hendersonville Funeral Home, 353 Johnny Cash Pky Hendersonville, TN on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 12 p.m. with Bro. Bruce Chesser officiating. Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery.
