Mickey Rexford Cobb, age 73 of Goodlettsville passed away suddenly on October 21, 2015. Mickey was born on December 23, 1941 in Nashville to the late John Vernon and Mabel Cobb. Mickey will be remembered for loving life and the smile always on his face. He was a big UT football fan, and he loved the USA. Mickey was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from AT&T after 40 years of service. He is survived by his wife and sweetheart of 53 years, Hilda Cobb; children, Melissa Cobb Davis (Joseph), Amy Cobb Castle (David) and Michael Wesley Cobb (Ashley); grandchildren, Olivia Katelyn Davis and Sawyer Alexander Davis; and his brother, Ronald Cobb. A Celebration of Mickey's Life will be held on Saturday, October 24th at 10:30 A.M. from the Chapel of Cole & Garrett Funeral Home. Dress Code: Tennessee Orange is Preferred. Interment will follow in Beech Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Michael Cobb, Sawyer Davis, Bill Seals, Joe Pope, Lecil Smith, Fred Ryan and Steve Choate. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 5-8 P.M. and Saturday one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, in honor of Mickey, please perform a random act of kindness.
